W&D Wedding at Sunset Restaurant in Malibu

Who knew, at 5pm the sun would finally pop out from behind the fog. It did. All day a thick layer of fog fell heavy upon the land, then, quickly and suddenly the fog lifted and the sun beemed brightly til it set around 6:30 or 7pm. It was a fantastic wedding.

The reception was brilliant. From the moment guests walked into the room, there was a happy festive atmosphere. The grand entrance was quick, concise, elegant and lively. We swept right into the first dance, and directly into dancing right after that. The crowd got up to groove without hesitation. The party continued right into salads.

Dinner music consisted of requested jazz: Sade, Michael Buble, Sergio Mendez, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Herbie Hancock (to name a few). A few heart-felt speeches gave way back to dancing, which led into cutting of cake, and back to dancing.
